Park Street Capital is the successor organization to the Tucker Anthony Private Equity Group, which was established in 1997 by Robert Segel as a joint venture with Tucker Anthony Sutro, Inc. Tucker Anthony was a pioneer in the private equity business, having founded the firm TA Associates in 1968 and backed many other firms. Mr. Segel began investing with other leading private capital managers in 1982 on behalf of Tucker Anthony colleagues and subsequently co-led the formation of two internal multi-manager funds in 1988 and 1992.
Other investment team members also bring deep experience. Directors Dorr Begnal, Kristine Dailey, and Ken Smith worked together for many years at Cambridge Associates, advising families and endowed institutions - many with premier alternative investment programs. Mr. Begnal and Ms. Dailey worked closely with Director Harry Turner when he managed the private investment program of the Stanford University endowment. During Mr. Turner's 20 years at Stanford, he helped establish the University's leadership role in institutional venture capital investing.
